Two souls united in God by charity are like two candles whose flames unite and fuse.

  1. Reminds me of the story about St Francis and St Clare and how they were praying together and someone in the distance said that he saw a bright light which was right at that spot.

  2. I recall reading when a nun walked into the kitchen one morning where St Teresa of Jesus and St. John of the Cross had been all night conversing. They were a bit inclined toward each other and the chairs they were seated in were floating a few inches off the ground.
